Specialist macular health screening and retinal photography.

Using some of the latest technology, Optical Coherence Tomography, the health of the macular can be screened quickly and accurately. If there are concern about changes at the macular such as Macular Degeneration, a prompt opinion on the nature of these changes is important, as early treatment is always advisable wherever possible. By being referred to AED Ltd from your eyecare provider (using our Referral Form) you will be able to access this early opinion.

Retinal (Fundus) Photography takes images of the back lining of the eye (the retina), this is an ideal way of monitoring changes in this area over a period of time,  it can also pick up small changes in the retina that may not always be seen with normal methids of examination.

Advanced eye diagnostics (AED) was formed in the March 2007 by a group of dedicated eye professionals, consisting of a number of consultant ophthalmic surgeons and experienced Optometrists.

The aim of AED is to provide a bespoke service to our patients by combining the experience of eye care professionals and the latest in innovative diagnostic technology.

We are based in the Midlands and currently have a unit operating from the BMI Meriden Hospital in Coventry.
