What is a fundus camera?

A fundus camera is a low power microscope attached to a digital camera designed to capture images of the interior of the eye, including the retina, optic disc, macula and the fundus.

Optometrist and Ophthalmologists use fundus camera to get visual pictures of the retina for diagnosis of diseases monitor the progression of disease and document images for later investigations.
